Cal. 30 Carbine. S# 1094601. Bbl. 18". Correct barrel is marked "W" behind sight and has the "WP" Winchester proof. Replacement narrow barrel band marked "U". Sling swivel marked rectangular slot marked "UI". Flip type sight. No evidence of staking at sight dovetail. Blade front sight with protective ears. Receiver manufactured with separate spring tube. All major parts markings except recoil band marked "W". Straight cut slide marked. Flat bolt. Milled trigger guard with push button safety and straight cut hammer. High wood "T" cut walnut buttstock. Buttstock is marked on the right side with boxed "WRA / GHD", "crossed cannons" and boxed "IRA / FB" overhaul mark. Encircled "P" proof at end of pistol grip. Two rivet handguard marked "W". Period web tan-colored sling. MAGS: one detachable 15 round marked "IW". CONDITION: stock has moderate wear and handling marks with an arsenal rework type finish. Finish has left legible markings. Worn metal has 60% of its original thinning finish. Barrel has notably more dark factory finish. Receiver has turned notably gray. Very good shiny bore. (25-6285/RW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
